Hi again,

My diff is make a fair bit of noise so i think i need to replace it.

how hard is it to replace the diff head as apposed to the whole rear assembly?

I have a decent set of tool, but no slide hammer..

I would do the head See my post in viewtopic.php?f=25&t=1200
Dont know why you need a slide hammer. I didnt use one on mine
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them
