hi i am about to replace the steering box in my mu as it is buggered, stuffed it when i rolled my vechile, i was wondering if any one could please give me any information on how to do this i know where the steering box is and will get the parts from a wreckers, is there anything i should be careful with when changing this? thankyou :)

If you get it with the pitman arm still installed you should be fine. If you were rebiulding the box that would have to come off which is quite hard to do as its a tapered spline
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them

remove the radiator, i did mine with radiator left in and it took ages... and there were alot of swear words awell.

okay thank you. to remove the pitarm off the steering box in the mu at the moment is there any special tools i need to use? or if i get a 2nd hand steering box with pitarm connnected can i easily remove pitarm from mu ?

Its best to get the steering box with the pit-man arm still on, otherwise you need to figure out the center point etc. usually you just remove the ball-joint at the end of the pit-man arm.
