On the '91 KB Pickup I have, the front calipers rattle terribly. I checked the Haynes and the online manual, and see that the lower caliper bolt should pass through a rubber sleeve with gaiters on each end.
My calipers don't have the rubber sleeves, and don't even have room for them between the bolt and the caliper itself. The bolt seems to fit quite tightly, but obviously not tight enough to stop the rattle.
I snagged a bunch of rubber sleeves/gaiters off Canadian Isuzu Rodeos and Troopers of similar vintage, but discovered they won't work on my KB.
Any ideas on this problem? Do ther KBs or TFs have these rubber sleeves? Perhaps these calipers aren't original?
