Warm the diff oil in a bucket of tap hot water for 15 minutes or so. It flows easier so less likely to spill
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them

Yey, Mu all back together and even sorted my RH hand brake cable while doing it. The rubber bellows at the caliper was torn and cable was starting to bind when releasing the handbrake. All oiled and protected with a thin rubber boot and two cable clamps. Very hard to turn one wheel now but still doesn't have enough bite to push the car in 2wd with one rear tyre off the ground. It will do for now until I get an open diff and a Lokka.

just bought a used lsd 3rd member. planning on opening it up before installing it. Does anyone have a picture or manual on how to open it up and add shimming if ever. Thanks
