selector switch, rodeo auto trans woes, fixed

Postby zacco » Sat Feb 14, 2015 11:11 am

Morning all, greetings from soggy north queensland.
I have a 91 rodeo d/cab , 2.6 4ze1 with what appears to be a 03-72L auto.Problem being over the last few months Ive had to jiggle the shifter around to get it to start.I tested the inhibitor switch and it has failed to make contact in park and neutral.Has anyone opened one of these and repaired it , if not has anyone got one they can sell me?
Also does a wiring diagram exist for this setup , I have a gregorys manual but this has only basic diagrams.
Happy truckin!
Thanks, Zacco

dont think weve had 25mm since new year and Wellington would be one of the wettest citys in NZ

Ok, switch removed from tranny. Remove screws, separate the two halves.CAUTION, SMALL BITS INSIDE, WITH SPRINGS !
Clean the grease out with degreaser, sand paper contacts , reassemble, install and youre good to go
