Front shock absorber lower bushings

Postby FabBighorn » Mon Dec 07, 2015 1:36 pm

Hi, I am treveling around NZ south island and did quite a bit of off-road driving... and I just noticed that my front shock absorbers lower bushings are completely eaten away on both sides... I called quite a few stores and noone seems to have those bushings. I think they should be two tapered bushings on each shock absorber and the big diameter is 30mm, the small diameter 25mm and the hole 16mm. I was wondering if anybody knows the part number for those bushings or could point me in any direction on where to find some. I am near Invercargill at the moment. Thanks everybody for your help

The factory shocks had a double bushing as you describe but after market they are a single piece with a narrow section in the middle. These should be easy to get. You will need some poly bushing lube and a fair bit of brute force to get them in unless you have access to a vice.

Thanks for your reply geeves, yes it could have been a one piece bushing as you said. I was on the phone with bnt, repco, isuzupartsspecialist and extreme auto parts and nobody could help with those lower bushings, apparently they only supply the upper front bushing for ubs69 models. I am not sure where the best place to find those bushings would be. Thanks for any help
