Low-Range Gearing Availability & Prices

Postby dasnoboarder » Wed Dec 02, 2009 6:13 pm

Hey,

I've been investigating the low-range gearing kit that used to be made by TeraLow, now made by Independent4x.com,

You can order it straight from their website, but shipping alone to NZ is $407USD!!!

Has anyone got hold of one of these kits for less than that? To AUS would be second option (still $407 on website) but have contacts over there that could send it over the ditch...

No one has a spare kit lying around?

Andy.

For that price you could fit a second transfer box behind the current one. Makes for short driveshaft but 15 forward gears. Use hilux box
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them

I've seen a set-up like that in recent 4wd mag, I guess you'd need a super-trick driveshaft?

And cut-up the interior floor for more space?

Maybe I'll just go a little too fast down hills :? ...

Better get all the things on my garage floor finished before I buy anything new. Body lift, exhaust, cert, etc etc

Thanks though. Just out of curiosity, how much do they go for?

How does adding second trasfer case effect 2wd on-road gearing?
