So I've completed the ball joint battles on my way to replace the outer cv. Almost there but the guts of the old cv are still stuck on the axle splines. Is there a trick to them or just keep working at it? I don't see any clips or anything. No gear puller handy either.

Thanks

if the cv is buggered cut it with a grinder and tap it off, there is a circlip inside, if you hit it hard enough it smashes the end off the axle, i have done this abit
