Probably not
When you say the complete diff was removed do you mean including the cv axles ets. How did he stop water getting into the hub assembly? There would be a big hole.
The wizard was wider so the cvs wont fit. You need the assembly from a 88 - 91 bighorn or 90 to 94 Mu Also you need to check ratios it will be 4.3 or 4.56

Your chassis plate will have one of these codes.

GT5 FINAL 41/10 98* 4.1
G80 LIMITED SLIP DIFFERENTIAL*
HC6 FINAL 41/9* 4.55
S7C FINAL RATIO 43/10* 4.3
I would of expected the hc6 for a 4.5 diff which is the same as you are looking at. Still worth getting as it will have all the cvs etc the right size. Hopefully you can unseal the hubs without damaging them otherwise you would need new stub axles as well

Thanks for that none of those codes on the plate of my Mu but i did a rear wheel rotation& found it was 1 turn to just on 41/3 of d shaft I iwill get that comeplele diff assy even has a set of free wheel hubs on it that work . i will keep looking for a 4.3 diff head , they are hard to find herein NZ yet plenty of 4.56 diffs around thought of swapping both front & rear to 4.56 but i think it will make it too low geared cheers

Factory 2.8 manual mu had 4.5 auto had 4.3, as above all ubs55 2.8 manual bighorns had 4.3 unless a r model, do have some 4.3 front diffs in complete trucks if you get stuck
