wrong clutch kit ?

Postby zacco » Sun Apr 02, 2017 3:47 pm

Hi blokes, just put a new clutch kit in my 94 2.8 t 4x4 rodeo. The kit is a clutchpro dgm 2424203. This kit came with the ute when I bought it. Still in its box behind the seat, now in vehicle. I was bleeding the clutch then I realised the slave was already fully extended against the fork. The old pressure plate and clutch plate that I pulled out were both geniune isuzu/ holden parts. I have heard that some flywheels have a deeper depth than others. According to clutchpro website I have the correct kit. What could be going on ?
Cheers, zacco

I wonder if its a dud thrust bearing but a photo of the slave cylinder could reveal something else and maybe a way to fix without dropping the gearbox again

Thanks geeves, new thrust bearing installed, all new parts identical to old parts. When I bought the ute it did have a problem with the clutch pedal not releasing till it was pushed really hard to the floor and slipping under power. Im also missing the return spring on the clutch fork as well as the spring on the pedal mount.
Cheers.

spring on clutch fork could be an issue but still doesnt explain why the slave is fully extended. A photo might show something but Im thinking its a gearbox out again. Otherwise can you make an extension for the slave cylinder.
