Postby WelshBoy » Mon Oct 21, 2019 4:48 am

Hi
I needed to remove the transfer case on a 3.1 bighorn 5-speed manual took the case off and did the job managed to get the case sealed again but now it doesn't turn took it apart turns again put it back on locked again!! am I missing something with these cases? Nothing was removed or replaced inside just did a new RTV gasket.

Thanks

Its not meant to be removed separately.Several parts run between the 2 casings
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them

The brass washer/shim that goes into the output shaft gear make sure the tangs are lined up correctly very tricky to do, if there not lines up the transfer output shaft jams and truck wont move
