Auto hubs are good for getting out of a slippery field or up a snowy road but thats it.
The big problem with all auto hubs is that they lock in one direction or the other and have to unlock to change direction. If you are at the highest point you can get to on a near vertical muddy hill and about to back down whether you are ready or not the last thing you want is a couple of meters in 2wd. At the very least you stain the upholstery.
For any serious 4wding you need manual hubs and for the isuzu its hard to beat the factory Asin ones. Find some second hand off a 88 or later Rodeo or Jackeroo.
Second choice would be the Warn or superwinch but you need a spacer to make them fit correctly. Stay well away from the ORC hubs They break frequently
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them
