If your budget allows, I agree with Pig.

ARB Air Lockers are approx $1200 each, then you have to get a compressor for a couple of hundred. Installing will take a shop a fair few hours, so could be up to $1000...

If you can get the diff heads out, and just get the shop to install the lockers into them, you'd save heaps.
But keep in mind you'd have to wire the compressor in, put it back together with new oil, and run the air lines too.

Going into a 4x4 store and getting a quote would be the best, or even email them.

This is difting away from topic a bit but...
If you are handy with a spanner, etc. give it a go yourself. It's easier than say changing a wheel bearing
The instructions that come with the unit are brilliant:
Step by step guide with tick boxes so you don't lose your place, clear photos, important measurements, list of tools ...it's all there.

Back on topic, my vote is for air lockers. True they are expensive, then there's the old adage ...you get what you pay for ;)

Lokka diff locker is a manual locker not air. Some people love em some don't.

The only Air lockers That I know of are ARB and TJM.

ARB have them for front and rear (RD94 and RD44 for Most Mu) Dont no what TJM have.

There is also these from an old club member. (don't know if he is on the new board)

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motor ... 986848.htm

He only has rear air lockers thow. (ARB equivilant RD44).

James Whyte is still a member. From memory the deal he was doing for club members was to fit the locker in your diff in that price.Dont know if hes still offering this. Unfortuanatly sending a diff from Aus is not cheap
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them

I've just bought a rear Air Locker from James.

It's not in yet, and it is a chinese copy.
But, few members on here have had good long-term success with them, so I'm going to give it a go.

Should go well with my front auto-locker "Lokka".

Although having it the other way around would be better, auto in back, air in front, this is how it's turned out...
