just read the FAQ post on fitting a new seal to the steering box,
question, do i need to drain the power steering fluid first so it doesn't flow out when removing the seal?

probably wise to do so but the chances are its already a mess around there anyway
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them
