Hey all

small update
recently put in a boost and EGT gauge into the MU. The box is a Tupperware container chopped up a bit :P. She runs 11psi full boost off about 1700rpm. Yet to put the boost controller in.
got new wheels. 265/75 r 16 BF Goodrich Mud Terrains, 32" in old scale, on 16x8 rims. got much better clearance underneath. looks shmick.
went down to price up roof racks but they haven't rung back yet.
i'm almost happy with the set up :) just a few more bits and pieces and it'll be good

Cheers

Damian

Hey Peter

I put the T-piece in the pipe that goes from the front of the turbo to the wastegate. On mine its a short black pipe kinda just next to the inlet of the turbo and goes straight down for about 10cm approx.
I needed a bigger T-piece because the one that came with my boost gauge was only for about a 2mm pipe when the pipe is about 4mm inner diameter or something so i got a brass one that me old man had lying around in the shed.
If its not being used, he don't need it :D
i also put clamps on both sides of the T-piece just to make sure it wont come off. again out of the old mans shed. its amazing what you can find in there ;)
I need a longer pipe to get my boost controller on because its an L shape, not an inline one.

Cheers

Hey Peter

i get 14psi through all gears from about 1400rpm all the way through rev range. It does spike sometimes but its only a real small amount.
Because i don't have to drive as hard now its got a bit more power i usual change gear earlier so i'm not sure if the pressure drops off in the high rpm.

Cheers

Hey all

She's intercooled now! was quite easy to install. No turbo rotating needed. Go a bit of lag now (full boost 2k rpm) and dropped 1 psi
also gonna put up the pics from before that didnt work.
enjoy

Boosted her up to 15psi

painted bonnet scoop ( in pic its not sanded back or clear coated thus looks quite bad)

Thats a nice looking bonnet scoop. Do you have a link for it or a brand name for it. Cheers Peter

Hey all

Haven't updated here in a while.
went out playing locally last weekend. Was pretty disappointing even though it had rained bucketloads during the week before.
I did however manage to find some mud but MOO just trucked on through. bit of an anticlimax :P
GOD i love those mud tires.
I have to say the most fun was getting MOO to flex a bit on the pile of rocks. (pictures)

Enjoy
