doesnt sound any different with exturnal gate as its plumbed back to exhaust only reason for it is boost comes on earlyer and is more stable and easyer to control. series 5 turbo would be far to big for a bighorn the best upgrade to a subaru vf10/standard isuzu hybrid.you make the same power on 10psi you would on 15 with the standard turbo.

So is that the turbo you are running in yours then? VF10 mounted into the factory isuzu exhaust turbine housing with no modifications to the exhaust turbine housing? Also can you please explain why the external waste gate makes the boost come on earlier? Is the wastegate in the turbo welded up? Thanks in advance :D

yip thats the turbo im running on it atm. ill be doing a write up on my truck in the verry near future. im in the process of doing a sas convershion over the next 3-4 weeks. ive already finished the rear end got the hilux diff all mounted just have to worry about drive shaft now. and im attacking the front as we speak. im realy suprised on how easy the sas convershion is on a bighorn as the chassis is nerly the same width as the hilux.
