It is part of the QWS (Quick Warm-up System). It is a device that works with other components to help warm up your engine quicker in certain conditions.

How do you know it doesnt work? It doesnt affect idle speed but will reduce power. It only works if the coolant is below 5c for the 3.1 and the button is operated. This is in addition to the automatic injector advance that you have no control over

Gaskets are only 7 bucks at repco. Paper won't work. I don't know how liquid gasket would go.

Vehicle: Got my truck from a man in Jimboomba earlier this year. It's a reliable, re-painted red 1992 2.8l turbo diesel isuzu mu named Big Red. Found out after i bought my mu, is its engine was built in july, same month i was born along with the same year i was born, guess we are a perfect match as my fav colour is red too.

he was only 4 months in that pic. he sits there and talks to the dog in the back as she peers over the seat. loves going off road, loves the way his voice changes as we go over bumps. hes 12 months old now

I would be careful taking a baby 4wding. Untill the brain is fully formed around 2 it is easily damaged by rapid movement ie going over bumps. Also if things go bad and you have to walk out they can be hard to keep warm etc. This happened in Wellington recently with a 4wd getting stuck and the occupants needing rescue. The police were not amused.
Im not saying dont do it but am saying take it easy

we do. no more than 2wd to the river to take the dog for a walk no risk involved. thats also why he still rear facing, to make sure his head/ neck is looked after. thanks for th warning though, good advise.
