Barrys Trooper

Postby bazza2541 » Wed Sep 08, 2010 8:11 am

It's a 2004 Commercial Trooper.
I have changed the troublesome 4jx1 for a smaller but more reliable 4jb1 and now I am having wild craic trying to bring it back to the power of the 3.0
4jb1 installed.
Image
Modified the battery clamp to hold the expansion bottle.
Image
Landrover TD5 FMIC fitted behind grille in front of front panel.
Image
Egr blanking plate with take off for future boost guage. (Take off may not be needed now, so I'll be replacing it with a blank)
Image
EGR blank on manifold and adaptor to fit 3.0 turbo to 2.8 manifold.
Image
Butchered battery tray to make room for intercooler piping.
Image
As she sits, on 15inch pajero wheels (for the lower offset).

I am going to use the blank on the exhaust manifold to put in a egt probe so I can keep an eye on the loads, also I thought the boost gauge piping came off one of the air lines/

Nice looking rig, good luck with the quest for power.

Vehicle: Got my truck from a man in Jimboomba earlier this year. It's a reliable, re-painted red 1992 2.8l turbo diesel isuzu mu named Big Red. Found out after i bought my mu, is its engine was built in july, same month i was born along with the same year i was born, guess we are a perfect match as my fav colour is red too.
