Cheer, thats with the garden edge externsions on the arches ... only have to repair one of them as a result, also got the radiator dropped by removing the bottom bolt on the lower mounts and dropping the top bolt down, oh and to rearrange the top mount with a bit of patience (hammer) but that should stop the leak. manual hubs all cleaned up and reassembled ready to go back on ... things are coming together

Everything is on the truck and working, I need to get some thinner shims for the passenger side hub but I guess it is okay as long as I avoid deep water, I didn't gasket the front just incase.

In other news, I test drove the truck to hear an awesome boost leak, tried to work out how to find it, in the end it wasn't that hard, one of the intercooler tubes has a crack in it, I have goo-ed it up to see what happens, but I guess it is a wield job to fix permanently.

Found out today why I never been able to find the mythical fuel screw, my truck is efi, so my only option is a boost controller. Does anyone know the maximum boost that a efi pump can compensate for. I figure there is not much point in boosting past the fuel. The guy that sorted me out has a bighorn that he occasionally lets free boost and the only thing he has happen so far is repeatedly blowing exhuast gaskets.

mit aswell leave it standard boost, ivi got the same engine and with boost wound up makes verry little or no difference, only other thing i can think of to get more power is a dpchip or similar, next on the list for me after i finish rebuilding the engine

Mine is efi apparently and unfortuantely, mechanic looked at the pump and said oh its efi, can't set the fuel screw then, I swore, I can crank up the boost but not supply more fuel to help it out

The boost compensator should still work out that you can handle more fuel so there should still be more power. What you cant do is set the fuel away from standard but its not wise to do this on the 3.1 anyway

I had a problem with the lower radiator hose, I solved it by lowering the radiator, with smaller hands it may not be a problem. The rubbing was only on the front tyres, I lifted the front bumper and had the back of the guards trimmed slightly. I do need to cut the plastic of the front bumper which will get rid of the last of the rubbing under compression
