far out thats cheap, everywere ive gone is around $400! i ive only run maxxis buckshots bfor and theyre pritty good for the price, got 50k out if my 33s and still got 5-6mm left. i feel like a change and the close tread of the rto3s looks like it would do a bit better in the sand, the buckshots just dig big trenches lol even with the pressurs down to 12psi, makes the truck work prity hard.

I have the Mudstars which are a cheap copy of the buckshot and find them fine in sand
Those RT03s are loved down in Canterbury but here in Wellington noone that tried them kept them for long. Down there is a lot more sand gravel rivers etc where up here we have wet sloppy hills that you have to sidle round etc. In those conditions they slip sideways. The old firestone 23deg atx was the same Highly popular tyre in the south island but dangerous here.
Have a look at the maxis bighorn. You also get the car brand name on the tyres
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them

The old firestone ATX's were the best tire I ever ran 60,000+ and great on anything, I wish they still made them I would have been happy to be stuck on 31's lol

Im doing not much over 5k a year and the only road use is getting to the tracks They seem fine but Im not doing enough mileage to be a true judge. There not squirmy in the wet and have been driven home on 15psi more times than is good for a tyre

most of the big boys who hit the west coast go for Simex extremes...
Km2s are a good all rounder...The maxxis mudzillas on my mates safari are way to noisy .
Side ways grip on the rto3s is as good as the fowards grip geeves....And with a bit of right foot they are fine any where ...
Oh well, can some one hook up the winch i cant open my door !!!!!!!!!

Well getting truck sorted for a trip over the west coast on friday 14th till monday 17th...
Have taken locked front diff out of my truck.
Was just way to hard on the cvs, freewheels hubs, and the powersteering,... Its was great and really made it an awesome 4x4 but such a shame it kept breaking things..
In a short wheel base without all the gear i carry it would prob be ok but in my truck loaded to the max its just to hard on the drive train..
Oh well, can some one hook up the winch i cant open my door !!!!!!!!!

do you think an auto diff locker in the front would have fixed the stress issue? looking at doing a front diff lock on my truck
