My battle truck

Hi all 4x4Dan here had to use 4x4swanny cause for some reason i cant use my old name...Any way My truck Is 93 Isuzu bighorn Long wheel base.
Over time i have built it up.
Running nissan safari front springs in the rear,slightly wound up torsion bars/ balljoint flip / Full bars all round 9,000 pound winch/braced rear trailing arms /33 12.5 hanook rto3s ( good all rounder tyre)Snorkle and top mount alt (when it works lol)..If you got to you tube and look for CHASM winch 1 you will see it..That vid is at a awesome track on the west coast sth island NZ. 12hrs for 12ks Great day it was.

Yeah keen to hear about the Safari springs in the back. Were they LWB or SWB springs? how much height did it give you?

will try and sort out a link to the youtube vid.... they were standard shortwheel base springs ...Had to cut about 1/4 of a turn off them and to make them sit over axle end base holder nicely. They work out roughly same height as standard bighorn springs with about a 75mm spacer added/so 75mm lift roughly.. but a much nicer ride and no bottoming out now. Have since added home made 40mm spacer to them as well . With shocks off and rear of truck jacked up till the wheels leave the ground can get them in only with them compressed in spring compressers.. Oh and dont forget to undo the 12mm head bolt holding brake line to diff. Lifting that high to fit springs will stretch brake line to much and weaken it.

I wouldnt be telling anyone about your cut springs just in case your wof man gets to read it.
Cutting springs is very bad

What rims you got to fit 33"?
How about the high mount alternator? Where, remove a/c compressor? Any pics under the bonnet?

My Bad on the Lake waihola being in southland lol....Anywhere south of dunedin is southland lol...
too the alt look under Alt getting too hot... pics there..
The winch bar is made up from a bighorn bull bar and lots of other steel work... Is in its third development stage....Lol. and yes i made it....
Will take some pics tomorrow and get them up sunday night...
Cut springs NO NO must have been something like lucky ya dont have to cut a 1/4 turn off them im sure thats what i wrote..
The 33s are on 7 x 15 inch pretty standard ROH steel brand rims.... A bit of roll on road i guess but still cruise at highway speeds.. Have never peeled a tyre off the rim yet . sure have had sticks, mud, and grass stuck in them but have bent rims and not had one come off. i keep tyre pressures above 20 off road though. would go lower if i had tubes in them or bead locks... The hankook RTo3 are a great tyre ...Real good all rounder...
