Hey mate I did the Safari spring change and I didnt get any change in height and they fall out at full flex lol did you have this issue?
Makes the back end really stiff but I get the flex still which is good. and yes you do have to cut 1/4 of the bottom of the spring off otherwise it wont fit. my wof man said as long as it doesnt fall out its all good (captive spring).

Hmm interesting.. they must have been shorter springs as the set i fitted where a real tight fit..Maybe mine where lifted ones...Or you have longer shocks. ( I read your info thing, you have the ranchos they will be longer than my standed shocks.)
What sort of range (ks ) do ya get from a tank in the v6 manual..I have a auto 3.2 v6 longwheel base as well and we get roughly 400ks out of a tank..
I have now put about a 40mm spacer on the springs but only recently....

Ok yeah the shocks could have something to do with it as I now get really bad guard rubbing now haha. I might save up and get some Longer Spring but I think my brother n law has some lift kit safari springs I can use so see what this does.
Umm I get about 550 - 600kms out of a tank on the open road (90-100kph). Around town I get 450 - 500kms either way its pricy lol Last time it was $212 to fill from dead empty.

hell fuel must be dear up your way... The most we have spent on a fill is $150..from the warning light. And that mainly all flat open road and a wee big of around town...Its 50 ks to the nearest big town for us. Although you may have a bigger tank.
I have heard some have bigger tanks especially if it was a aussie model.

Um that was when fuel was $2.24 for 95octane. I think I have a 90L tank I could be wrong though all I did was look away after the $200 mark lol. I remember when it was under $2.00 a litre it was only about $186 to fill. But this was empty like it would cut out when going around corners lol it was kinda recent and it had 91octane in it so I was trying to clean it out to put in 95.
Mine is just a jap import I know that and I have looked at my tank over the weekend and its pretty big like my towbar sits quite low and the fuel tank is still lower (Just).

same 83 litres as everyone else. That much petrol in one go would hurt

haha I feel that 91 makes it noticably sluggish and uses it a little quicker (not as noticable).

Yeah it did hurt but I was going away on holiday and needed all I could cram in because the further north you go the more expencive it is.

Yipyip Kai iwi lakes are over the west coast (Just out of Dargaville). Good off roading around there lol. Yeah I used to live in Auckland as well so I know where Coatsville is. Not sure if you checked but I put the measurements to the back of my truck in my "Ray's Bighorn" thread.

I had a great day at the mudplug..
Got 1020 points but did 17 hazards.
7 in the morning then blew a cv.
And did all ten after lunch...
So about 400 points were from not doing three hazards..
But started off in greater modified then was scored in the super modified section....
Does the bighorn look like a comp truck LOL It must just be too cool...

hey scruff...Yes the RTO3s are great mate i get them cheap from a friend so about 300 each.. Have a good look on trade me they do come up cheap time to time..
They really are good...They are not noisey on road grippy enough on wet tarseal.. great in river shingle..Pretty good on mud and wet sloppy stuff.....Excellent on dry and wet rock surfaces and ok in clay....The side wall buffers arnt really grippers but do stave off sharp rocks and sticks. For a overall tyre they are better than the more open rto1s that ya cant get any more..
alot quieter than mudzillas a little less traction but stuff all....If some one said i could have a new set of rubber it would be a toss up between KM2s or rto3s....no others really appeal...
