Hi, new member here, and possible the northernmost of them all.

My name is Morten Viking and i live on a island in the arctic called Spitsbergen, one of the islands in the Svalbard archipelago.
I work at the powerplant here, coal fired.

The car i have is an D-max Trooper edition (Norwegian model) that has been modified by Fjallasport (www.fjallasport.is) to a 35" version.Its also equipped with ARB locker in the rear and have onboard air (homemade) for inflating tires etc.
Ive done approx 21000km in it and are pleased so far.

Suspension: 40mm lift
Body Lift: 30mm
Tyres/Wheels: Cooper ATR 315/75-16 on Ultra 10x16
Traction Aids: ARB
Bullbar: Fjallasport
Spot lights and Lighting: 2xHella Rally 3000 100w
Communications/GPS: TomTom navi and wife`s map reading skills.... ;)
Dual Batteries: no
Engine: 3,0L with tuning box. 193hp@405nm
Exhaust: original with removed cat
Sound system: Kenwood something
External: Extended fenders by fjallasport, 10cm each side.
Internal: Fridge in the back and 12V supply
Others: Homemade onboard air with tank underneath.Made from an old fire extinguisher.

Nice truck and seamless mods by fjallasports. WOuld be interesting to see pics of your onboard air as well -especially the integration of the extinguisher

Gonna get som pics of the air system as soon as its dry enough to get under it.We are in the middle of snowsmelting and floods here so its not so fun to crawl under the car while its dripping water everywhere.... ;)

Heres how i made the open air filter.

Problem was when it got really cold (-15c and below) it froze and i was afraid of icing so i took it off.Got tired of the loud noise from turbo and intakesound also... ;)
(guess im just getting old)

What diff ratios do you have.
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them

The ratios are original.They said it wasnt necessary to change it cause i only ran 35" tires and have a manual gearbox.
But ill think ill get a locker in the front also and hope the rest of the drivesystem will hold....
