Hi again, been a while since ive posted anything. Been pretty slack with the mu for a while, sparked interest again when looking at installing a 2" lift using lifted springs, then i found out my mu has already got that much lift in it :( (measured 530m diff center to body panels.

problem is now i want it bigger. thinking about 2" body lift and shaving the bump stops.

since last time the mu has had a new bull bar made, lights, some body damage and sprayed rims, which match the car much better. (white knight rust something, alloy primer and matt black)

Had a few mechanical and other problems along the way,
New alternator (80Amp)
radiator hoses and water pump hoses and seals (most likely my fault) drove into something hard...
New Exceedy HD cluch,
New main rear seal, which spewed oil all over the new clutch, so another clutch plate,
No more carpets and a silicone aided seal for the sunroof.

Would like to make up a custom snorkel in the near future as well as a rear bar incorperating a different tow bar so i dont drag ass everywhere.
And i really should get around to fixing the rear window lock... zipties are getting annoying.

Ok guys so i took some time today to trim up my bump stops, to get a little more flex, was getting abit annoyed bottoming out on rears and limiting travel all round. so heres the process and results.
20130101_132554.jpg

20130101_135125.jpg

and the results, compared to my last post are pretty evident. next up will be a ball joint flip (when i get brave enough)

Now its time to head off and find some mud. sorry for the poser pics, but i was by myself. this is sitting on the bump stops at present.

I like that bullbar! Ball jiont flips are really easy http://clubisuzu.com/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=655 But remember the wheel alignment part! There are several threads on here for snorkels made by members and bought ones Good luck with it

alight. a few more things....

EGR block offs done. with noticiable improvements while driving, no whistle (which i thought was thrown bearing in turbo ) phew. more pick up and no mega power or fuel less start ups....
if you still have them BLOCK THEM OFF....

new bushes in the shackles (i think ive needed them for a while)
20130109_200311.jpg

And bought a 90 dollar welder and had a crack at making a new rear bar. took the tow bar off to stop dragging, just for while im offroad.
its got some checker plate to go on top, just lazy :P

just finished the two inch body lift (soooo cheap when you make up the blocks yourself) 10X50mm blocks, 6X160mm 10mm 8.8 bolts, + nylocks, 4 X 140mm 10mm 8.8 bolts (metric fine 1.25) and a few washers here and there.

oh and picked up a used set of 33' km2's

So the other thing ive been doing is looking into tube doors. as far as i can tell they are legal, so long as there is a functional lock, they use stock brackets, have mirrors and have some sort of ' skin ' over the door (im going to use clear vinyl table cloth)

20130302_201614.jpg

the problem now is i really want 35's and a solid axle up front.
