Rear locker is abit nasty on the tarmac but im use to it and on the gravel its very interesting and fun, the front locker is amazing makes the steering abit heavier and takes it out of you more when on long touring trips, never broken a cv etc in any of my trucks, do drive sensable though but rear diff gives me more trouble

I guess the auto front locka has its pros and cons.....price being a BIG pro but you wouldn't want the front locka in some situations???

it has way more pros than cons, when i built my truck i wanted it to go places and didnt care how it handled on the road, its mmy daily driver still though, remember you can leave 1 hub out and it makes it open in the front

Fair call, I see your point.
Have priced up the front and rear lockas from oz and it turns out they aren't that expensive.
One of the problems is trying to find the time to work on the truck and then to get out there and use it

A man after my own heart! I was just as bad as you are with collecting them a few years ago (ended up having to scrap a few coz the tenants moved out of the house and the parents had a cry about no one wanting to move into an Isuzu farm - but I plan to find more for parts and start the collection again!) Awesome collection mate, hats off!

Just fitted a new heavy duty clutch and rebuilt g-box out of a ucs55 with heavy duty bearings today nice and smooth now, but the gearlever moves alot more in a mu gearbox than a bighorn one, everywhere on here says they are the same? guess not, then after that fun job fitted my old heavy duty clutch to my mates ucs55 as his clutch was toast and slipping, what a day
