Well, finally got the intercool on and well, pitures speak

Here was the other nut (not me ;P ) behind the P/S pump to get them belts off
Image

And belts off
Image

so then finally got the compressor out the way, got my last bolt out, and with a slightly forceful power bar handle...
Image

Drilled and taped the new locator screw
Image

moved wastegate bracket down and left a bit and drilled a 5.5mm hole and put screw in (only one screw holding bracket on should be ok?)
Image

And housing back on and rotated! woohoo. but im pretty sure i threaded the bottom left screw... not woohoo. but the housing is on pretty good, so i just left it hehe
Image

And intercooler bolted on! good to see it on the truck and not in my room or workvan haha
Image
Image

And finally, a finished product, quick question for someone who knows the answer, vacuum line that used to go to old turbo pipe, there's a place for it on the intercooler but wouldn't reach so just blocked bot, but what is that vacuum line for?
Image

Lastly, for those interested, i took a video of the truck running for a couple of sec's to show how the turbo is whining. keen to hear what people think

Pretty sure that line is not vacuum, but boost. Possibly goes to the top of your Injector Pump for boost compensation.

really? crap, it seemed to run fine, i gave it a run down the road. my old wizard had this disconnected, but i might get some longer line then. also, anyone know how to loosen off the alternator? haha i got all new belts, saving timing belt for when i can be bothered, but the alternator, i undid the locking nut and started to loosen it off. i couldn't get it loose, so didn't en up replaceing that belt...

Look for a line (small rubber hose) coming off your Injector Pump and follow it.....it should head over the front of you engine towards the thermostat housing and on to some sort of connection that has a boost signal.

Re your alternator. It has a similar arrangement to the power steer pump. Normally just loosen one fastener and adjust with the screw adjuster (from memory). It can be a bit stiff to move.

alternator has 12mm locking bolt, then some have the adjusting bolt on top you have to loosen, and loosen the 14mm long pivot bolt underneath makes it much easier

sweet, so finished the job (kindof) and just need to paint the scoop and the places i used the grinder.

so started chopping using guesstimates
Image
Image

Ended up pretty bang on! it was actually a fluke haha, so pretty stoked really!
Image

Got a little carried away with the grinder and cut a bit too much off the front'er part, so rivet some recycled hood to assist direct airflow
Image

then i got carried away and finished the job without anymore pics, but heres the current end result
Image

will paint the scoop, and the mesh that goes in it black and go around the edges of it with black windscreen\aluminium sealer
