Hi
it is manual, 2,8 diesel. 74kw factory, had it on the dyno, on Saturday, 79BHP on the wheels, so 69Kw after 15 years? Not bad.

I always wondered what a kb280 was in south Africa was do you call them a bakkie or suv over there.
Still a nice looking truck.

My understanding is that the Bakkie was a ute so this would be a SUV
Being a KB does raise one question as to what chassis its on
What are the first 5 characters on the chassis number?
What rear suspension does this have ie coil or leaf?

The Chassis are simalar on 280 bukkie they are longer than the suv, the body differs, the parts are inter change able,
It has leaf springs in the back, none of our bukkies or suv "granny vans" have coils, so we put a 3" shakels in the back to lift it up,
for added lift we ride with camil shocks, coil over shock. the front we install camini control arms, with longer brack hoses, and do a diff drop to bring the cv back inline.

The coils overs are just to provide us more lift at the back. We have leaf springs with shock at the back and a company makes up coil overs the fit at the back. All we do ours get longer shackles and then pull out the old shocks and replace with the coils overs.. This givers us lift and help to carry more weight. There are kits for the front but they not as common.

Thats a nice way to do it. On my bighorn which has much the same rear suspension I fitted new rear leaves for a 50mm lift.

I have two bows a Mathews conquest 2 and GT500 80 pound,
The shocks coil overs cost about R4800

I currently have Rancho"s in the back and front, I am looking at converting them to coil overs as well.
These sell for $999.00
