No...changes to your body and chassis due to carnage does not count

body lift, bending gear stick?

Postby samfnq » Sat Feb 02, 2013 3:10 pm

Any photos of how i bend or cut and weld the gear stick so it doesnt foul on the frame and stretch/pop out the boot.
any help would be much apreciated. Currently running no carpets so when the boot pops its noisy and hot.
Thanks in advance guys.

You can run a small spacer under the gearbox mount i have a 8mm one, i also removed gearleaver from gearbox and melted the rubber out machined washers down and welded them in, cut and welded gear lever and works fine other than more gearbox noise transfer as i dont have a rubber gear lever now

I cut and welded the gear stick and removed the rubber boot and made a leather one, velcroed onto the body and around the gear stick. Did let more noise in but didnt bother me
