Water getting into my manual hubs :O

Postby blairreed » Fri Jan 01, 2016 12:51 pm

I keep getting water leaking into my manual hub and washing all the grease out and seizing them up plus its destroying the wheel bearings. whats the best sealant to use on them? I tried crc red seal but that didnt seem to do the job.

Cheers :)

I would be checking the wheel hub seal at the back of the rotor hub if that's stuffed water goes right through to the free wheeling hubs not good for bearings.

I have just put speedy sleves and new seals on the back, its coming from the front because thats where 80% of the water is or 20% is in the bearings :P
