front bumper

Hi
Do MU front bumpers have a reputation for rushing out? just got a 94 MU with 167K and bumper rosted. Would have thought the bumper would be the last thing to go.

good question. Ive never heard of the bumpers rusting out but my 97 wizard has rust in the original bumpers and the sections Ive replaced with parts from various wreckers Mus had more than surface rust as well. All sections were fine on the outside but required a good anti rust treatment on the inside. This is the rear as well.

I've got a 94 MU with 230ish ks and the front bumper on mine is covered in hundreds of little rust spots, but the rest of the vehicle is fine, maybe poor quality chroming(?) on this part? although the back bumper sections are sweet as and i'd have expected them to be similar.....
