Rear Glass Rattles

Postby Tommothomas » Thu Mar 08, 2012 4:34 pm

Hi Guys.... I'm new to this, only bought my Wizard today but I've noticed that the Glass Door at the rear rattles a lot when I go over bumps, it's quite annoying. Can anyone let me know how/if this can be fixed?

check it is the rear glass. I have a rattle in mine but not the glass. Its the wheel brace in the side pocket taping the jack. One day it will annoy me enough to fix
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them

If the wheel brace is one of the bent ones there is a holder under the base of the rear seat behind the drivers seat

Could also be the rear door as they get baggy, the lock wears. Wrap tape around catch and close doesn't last long but it will rule it out or not

No... they have a split door of course and on the right hand side where the handle to lift the glass is it seems to be very springy and jumps around a bit over bumps. Almost looks like it could be a design fault!

horizontal split, window up and door out, so the tape thing could work, also checking alignment on the window catch on the door

On the earlier Mu's both the rear glass and the tailgate have adjustment in their catches, and they both periodically need adjusting. I imagine that the later Wizards would have a similar arrangement?
