Fuel filler hose replacement TF Rodeo

Postby galaga72 » Fri Apr 19, 2013 6:27 am

I have just discovered recently that the fuel filler hose (from the filler to the tank) on my 2001 TF Rodeo has a split in it, by trying to fill the tank and ending up with diesel all over the ground :(

I am having trouble finding a replacement hose for this - does anyone know if such a thing exists, or whether I should just get an exhaust shop to weld up a pipe and use joiners at either end? I'm trying to avoid getting one from a wreckers as they may be as perished as mine....

Cheers

When I needed to replace the hose on my 92 Rodeo, I ended up with a hose from a 2004 model which was very similar. From memory they have different fittings on the body spout and the fuel tank spout so you are forced to get a genuine hose.

Exhaust shop is a good idea, get the fittings the same, the body spout is easy to remove and you will be able to get a generic piece of pipe to fit between the two.
