water coming in somewhere

Postby westvic » Mon Jun 03, 2013 4:34 pm

help please....been looking but can not figure this one out

I have a 93 Jackaroo XS LWB diesel manual. Also has what looks like a factory sunroof.

I have been getting water pooling in the drivers footwell. I originally thought it was from road spray but definately not that (more after rain and no driving). All the drain holes on the sill are clear. No sign of it coming down from behind the pedals.

Any ideas please??

I had the same problem. There are 4 drain holes to stop water daming up around the sunroof. There are tubes connected that take the water down each side of the vehicle. On mine the holes were clear but the tubes were blocked. I pulled them out and cleared them and the problem went away. I only get a leak now when driving in heavy rain. I need new rubber because I can see daylight when looking through from the back seat.

Thanks MonstaMu.
Now I have a bigger problem. Looked up in the front inside corners of the sunroof and found a nasty rust problem on both sides

AND we have 2 inches of rain due over the next 2 days!
