Do the side mirrors have an adjustment to tighten them?

my passenger mirror no matter how many times i adjust it will always fall downward and all i can see is the side of my car.

do i need ot replace the whole unit or can i tighten it?

there is a small screw in the back of it, but normally the plastic cup that goes around the ball breaks just buy an aftermarket mirror that fits the ball

When you fit it to the ball Heat the cup in boiling water for a few minutes to temporarily soften it. If its just the mirror this makes fitting easier If its a complete mirror afew more minutes will help get it off that ball
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them
