Mu rear side glass replacement.

Postby PaladinAus1 » Mon Nov 03, 2014 12:16 am

G'day all

Does anyone have any experience replacing the side glass in the rear of the Mu? Was lucky enough to wake up the other morning to a smashed window

Not having a lot of luck finding a Mu being wrecked in Adelaide, not that I would even know where to start with removing the glass, so I was considering going for a perspex replacement.
Has anyone attempted this?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks

they are glued in and normally cut them out with piano string or fine wire, not sure on your laws over there perspex will work just have to heat it on the bend, and pop rivit it in with silicone

Cheers geeves. Hard enough finding a courier company that will ship glass in Australia, let alone overseas.

Rob: As far as i know anything pre 1994 can have Perspex windows, so I just scrape in. Would still prefer it to be as original looking as possible. I might give the perspex a crack.

Thanks.
