one for an internet wizzard

Postby geeves » Sun Jun 13, 2010 7:49 am

Some of you may of noticed the posts by these 3 user names. nikki45, niko45, saunkarter and a few others lately.
I believe they are the same person and in each case the post is sort of meaningless but all have a link to a Chinese car accessory shop in the signature. This is the real reason for the post.He posts 5 times in a few minutes then disappears for a few months
On some of his previous identities I blocked the user name and the ip address but this obviously does not work with this guy. He doesnt even check to see if his old user name is still valid before creating a new one.
His ip is in India and I dont want to block a whole country even if we dont currently have true members there.
Is there any other way to make him go away or for the low amount of annoyance he causes should we just ignore him.

I noticed That is why I had to delete one of your posts. No worries.
I replied as well before realising but my post was relevant to the rest of the thread Yours was just a reply to an introduction that was no longer there.

I just fired 195000 ip addresses into the banned list
That should keep him out for at least a week.
It doesnt affect our only other indian member.
Hope I didnt kill 195000 potential members.

is there any way to just block the hyperlink in his sig? so he can't make any posts that contain that link? if so there wouldn't be much point in him posting...
