This is for a 2.8, 5 speed manual 4JB1-T Isuzu MU.
I cannot confirm if the 3.1's or the auto's are the same. Also if you have an intercooler it could be slightly differant. Someone here will know.
The first step is to get the plates and new bolts to block the holes left after removal of the EGR valves and the studs.
Next step is to remove the EGR valves and the exhaust return pipe running across the top of the motor at the rear.

Remove the studs as well if they havn't already come out.
Use high temp exhaust sealer and bolt the exhaust plate over the hole left from the pipe.

Also use a sealer when placing the plates over the holes left by the EGR valves.

Once all that is done you can start to remove the small vac hoses being careful not to damage them as some of it will be used in the next step.
You need to run a length of vac hose from the fuel pump

to here.

Last thing to do is block the small vac hose off the back of the altinator and its done.

If you like you can remove all the valves and mounting brackets in the corner of the engine bay. You can just leave the plugs there or push them back through the grommet in the firewall.

Hope this helps someone.
