Unknown warning light on dashboard

Postby bkkmick » Fri Jan 20, 2012 1:06 pm

Hi

I have a 2009 MU7 (Thailand).

Recently I noticed that, if I'm accelerating up a hill, a warning light comes on. This light looks like the fuel low warning light but it's in the centre panel and has a number of vertical lines underneath it.

I've tried googling around for help on what that light means but to no avail.

Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks

Mick

Hi
Yours is the first Mu7 here. Welcome aboard. We would love to have a few pictures at some stage.
Is the light you mention in the picture below? (this is from the 96 version of the same vehicle)

Couldn't embed an image as I got the error message "It was not possible to determine the dimensions of the image."

Hope these work...

The light I don't understand is the yellow one above the engine light.

Thanks again...

Looks like the fuel light to me How full is your tank when this problem occurs and does the fuel gauge move when you go up the hill as well?

I have a fuel tank light in the right hand circle that appears when fuel is low. This one is separate. They look the same apart from the vertical lines below the pump.

Weird, I know.

In my picture in the strip of lights at the bottom from the left you have fuel, timeing belt, check trans and then a light for the water separator in the fuel filter. Do you have this light? Does the light you have mean the same thing?
Try draining the drain on the bottom of the fuel filter. This is a guess

I think the D-Max has the same dash. There are a couple of members on here with them. They might know
They also have a fuel heater near the tank it might have something to do with that

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I reckon that maybe I'll head down to an Isuzu garage and practice my Thai. Should be interesting!

I'll let you know what they say.

Cheers

New Member here

I was searching for an answer to this light... fuel w/ lines below it.

It may be a poor fuel quality light....I live in the Dom Rep and get lesser quality gas at times.

I see here the problem hasn't been resolved after bkkmick went Thai at the dealer

Any ideas ??

Thinking about it the only thing I can think of is the block heater but that should never operate in warm weather
