Rear diff slack between power on and idling down hill

Can diff be adjusted to take out the slack and associated noise .Think I read somewhere that seal could be altered .Would accept all suggestions . Thanks.

You can get rid of some but the reality is that if there is excess play then one of 2 things has happened. A: some has replaced the seal or bearing and not put the bolt on correctly and it has moved. If this is the case replace ther crush washer and set torque as per the book. or B: diff has excess wear and only fix is replacement.
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them
