Interchangeable diff centres?

Postby blumuu » Tue Jul 11, 2017 10:45 am

Hi all, just wondering if i would be able to swap mu open mu diff centres for lsd rodeo centres? Or would it just be more practical for me to buy lokkas?

Cheers

88 to 98 rodeos share the same diff type as the Mu 10 bolt front 12 bolt rear. Ratios need to be checked as it could be 4.3 or 4.56

So i could use the rodeo lsd diff centres but keep the existing pinion and crown wheel to ensure ratios remain the same?

that I dont know. If the crown wheel from an open diff will accept the lsd center then it will work but I dont know if they are the same crown wheel. Easy to swap the complete diff just make sure front and back are same ration

2.8 auto should be 4.3 and rodeo in nz are 4.5 lsd, can use just the lsd centre and swap the crownwheel, but as above best to swap front and rear diffs to 4.5 if your going to fit bigger wheels
