Im pretty sure it was the 6 blade compressor, and the turbine was 9 blades not 12. I don't have a boost gauge yet or an EGT gauge, though you can simply hear it making boost! Before the IHI RHB5 would not start boosting till around 1900-2000 and probably at full boost at around 2200-2300, whereas now I can hear it boosting hard at around 1500 rpm. Pretty sure the clutch is slipping a little bit though in 4th when you put your foot down, will change it at xmas time as I have a heavy duty Exedy one sitting in the shed ready to go. I cannot wait to fit a 2.5" turbo back exhaust and get it properly tuned on the dyno, I think it should be a fair bit higher than the standard 110 hp. With regards to the air filter setup, before I had the K&N sitting inside the old air filter enclosure (sideways) which was fed cold air through the pipe in the bull bar, but now the turbo was a little further forward and it would not fit so I just have the bare K&N pod exposed now, its still got cold air feeding the area but its not enclosed. Probably wont do anything about that until close to xmas, hopefully then I will be fitting the exhaust aswell.

Well, I got the 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust and dump pipe fitted. All I can say is toyota me, I need to change the clutch! Cannot put it flat in 3rd or 4th because of slip, it pulls very good now for a 1995 duelcab, hopefully fit clutch over Christmas and get it dynoed. It would have to be 150 hp++ now.

I’ld Throw a bigger filter on it than that, help it breathe better. Did you ever get it dynoed? Out of curiosity, what is the gold wrap on the induction for?

Hi there just wondering if the 3.1L turbo on the bighorn is the same as in the MU i would assume so but just want to know for shure (is the turbo different with the intercooler?). Also wondering if anyone has taken the intercooler from the bighorn and put it on the MU just seems like a good idea dont think the MUs came with them

The 6x6 is a more efficient turbo
