Torsion bar swap (UBS69 /UCS69)

Postby bensco82 » Thu Nov 30, 2017 4:22 pm

Hi everyone,

Is it possible to swap the torsion bars from an Isuzu Bighorn (UBCS69) to a Wizard (UCS68)?

Thanks for that. I might just buy the torsion bars, shock absorbers and coil springs for a Jackaroo and replace mine. :D

That's pretty much what I did on my wizard got torsion bars jackaroo LWB then found coil springs 40mm lift then got the 40mm lift efs shocks everything fitted.
Then I got a wheel alignment done all good now.

Isn't the Wizard and Bighorn/Trooper the exact same chassis but with a different body?

They share a lot but the Wizard is closer to the Rodeo chassis
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them

Also the rodeo has leaf rear springs and drum brakes rear.
The wizard has coil springs and disk brakes in the rear.
