Batt/oil/brake lights in dash on

Postby jeffwithjack » Fri Feb 16, 2018 1:23 pm

A couple of days ago I started the engine in our 1990 2.6 FI jackaroo and these lights stayed on after starting. I turned the engine off, and then restarted. All OK.

Today the lights are on again, and wont go off.

Your suggestions will be appreciated.

sounds like a bad alternator. If you check batery voltage it will be about 12 not the 14.5 it should be with engine running

The multimeter tells me 14.33V at the battery with engine running at fast idle. Any ideas on where I should look next?

Could be a fuse or relay
