Machanical gas pedal adjustment

Postby LiveEvil » Mon Feb 10, 2020 8:30 am

Hi everyone,
I have a throttle cable in my wizard gas pedal. throttle cable is extended and also controls mechanical fuel pump (it was electric originally).
The car drives fine but gas pedal is a bit stiff and hard to push for long periods of time.
Since it is all mechanical what are my options to make it softer?

First lubricate it well although if this was going to help it would also be sticking. You could try a counter spring assisting the foot pressure but look first at what you are pushing against. A lighter spring at the pump end might help but be cautious of it not having enough pull to pull the throttle back
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them
