hunting/Reving

Postby suzinoobie » Mon May 10, 2021 5:40 pm

Hi y'all wondering if anyone can shed some light on a hunting/reving issue i have. Recently had to replace the engine in my 93 3.2 bighorn due to a rock thru the radiator.. new engine runs ok but after about 4mths it started reving from about 700 to 2000 rpm..with a high idle. Adjusted that down to 800 and ran out of screw. Cleaned the solenoid valve thingy on top of the throttle body(drivers side) which improved it somewhat. Tried the unit off the old motor Now it revs from around 700 to 900 but still annoying.. Any ideas guys??
Thanks in advance :)

First thought would be the aircon being on but it is meant to be winter now
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them
