Without any more information the 4jb1t has a longer stroke so I would worry about the pistons coming up too high in the block and hitting the head. Dont know if they use the same bearings
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them

Most likely possible by topping the pistons or running a head shim to account for the longer stroke. This is the case for other 4J engines
