has anyboby had anything to do with rebuild kits on ebay or aliexpress for a 4jh1 are they ok where can you get these sort of kits in nz thanks

Ive used the IZUMI stuff off alibaba, the quality of the pistons and liners is very good. the bearings on my latest order were Taiho brand, which is quality stuff..The cylinder head valves are great quality, most of the gaskets are also good, but id use a local head gasket, perma seal or the like, (genuine head gasket is good value too) and quality aftermarket oil seals, the oil seals that came in the kit were pretty average... i think from memory the entire kit landed in NZ was $750 (and they will "adjust" the shipping values on the documents if you ask them to) ie to keep the total below 400NZD for customs

tried to get rebuild kit for a 4jah1 seems there are different sizes when you order a kit for that engine why are they not standard how to make sure it will fit andont want to get and wont fit anybody else done this thanks
