94 Mu Front and Rear Shocks

Postby MiniMacca » Sun Jun 23, 2024 7:24 pm

Hey Guys,

I've got a 94 MU unc69 with a 2" lift and an ARB winchbar and winch attached. A rear shock has broken a seal and the rest look like they're about ready to be replaced. Was wanting to make sure that the rear TF rodeos shocks fit the lift and was wondering if anyone knows the correct shocks for the front with the extra weight of the bullbar and winch.

front tf rodeo fine back you need to do some measurements to get the best option. Take out the bad shock and measure the compressed length mount center to pin (I think its a pin if not center to center) Jack up the back so the spring is fully extended and measure mount to mount. measure the pin diameters. Your rear shock should have the same compressed length as current and at least the same extended length as your full drop measurement plus the pins should match either with the supplied bushes or alternate bushes.
This is correct on all leaf sprung vehicles. If you have coils the spring needs to be slightly shorter than the extended length as the shock retains the coil
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them
