Wanting to know easiest and cheapest lift kit - Mu

Postby 32theworld » Sun May 19, 2019 7:45 am

Hi, Just wondering what are the easiest and cheapest ways to lift a standard height mu? Currently looking to run 33's with 15x10s in future so will need 2 inch suspension lift and 2 inch body lift.
I was informed you can use hilux rear shackles? (I know you can just wind up torsions and flip BJ in front) morely concerned about the rear..

Any info helpful, also is there any issues ill be having fitting 33s with 15x10? anywhere it always rubs etc?

any Lift tips or advice is much appreciated or any cheap and easy mods for that matter!

Thanks guys

First you have 31s now fitting 33s only requires 1 inch more room in the guards although 15x10s need to be spot on with offset or they will touch the suspension. Thats why most people put the 33s on 15x8s although technically its not allowed. Body lifts require certification and if not done properly will crack the floor pan under the front seats. Suspension the best way is new springs but so many people have had so much trouble getting new springs. If you go this way ensure the new spring is the same length to 1cm longer as the distance between the 2 chassis mounts with the weight on it. Shackles require certification and Im not a fan of them. To get a 2 inch lift your shackles need to be 4 inches longer
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them
