Turbo only has 2 pipes and they depend on whether yours is efi or not
First pipe is about 10mm and goes from turbo to wastegate and is about 100mm long Its shold be the only pipe on the turbo and wastegate Second pipe goes from the side of the intercooler to the top of the fuel pump unless its efi Thats all the turbo needs. What symptoms does your turbo have?

Hi.
New to this site just got myself a MU mysterious. Always wanted one. It has the 2.8lt in it.
My question is, is the vacuum setup basically the same as the 3lt engine?
Thanks in advance!

There are 3 very different 3 litre engines 1 is the same but the others not.
You need a big line to the brakes and a small line that goes to the fast idle for air con the egr if you still have them ( both through solinoids) and not much else. There should be a pressure line from the pipe from the turbo to inlet manifold that goes to the top of the diesel pump

Thanks mate.
What about what looks like a vacuum line from the bottom of the fuel pump? Nothing in there at the moment but it looks like it needs something? The pressure line at the top is in place. What does that one do?
Cheers.

The hose that goes from your intake system to the top of your Injector Pump supplies a boost pressure signal to the diaphragm on the top of your pump. This diaphragm moves a tapered pin/linkage arrangement inside your Injector Pump to increase fuel delivery with the increase in boost pressure. I think that its proper name may be "Boost Compensator" or "Manifold Pressure Compensator".

Thanks.
What about what looks like a vacuum line to the bottom of the fuel pump? More like where I think one should go because I can see a vacuum setup of some sort. Just had a look and the vacuum pump is blocked off! Except to the brake booster. The smaller line is capped off.
Another question if I may. Is it standard to have a Garrett turbo? Seems strange to me. I need a brew.
Appreciate the help given. Can't wait to have this little beast puurrring.

Can you take a picture of what you are talking about? It could be the "fast idle" control.

Hi Guys, starting an old topic again but also having some problems. I have just fitted an intercooler on my 97 MU Wizard 4JG2. I've noticed that there two lines going to the intercooler. one directly into the radiator and one going into the valve thing. I only had one line going to the intake before. Image
